Driver information LED boards

The system of driver information LED boards is a group of electronic information screens (variable message signs, VMS) placed in strategically significant locations of the city. The system of LED boards is dedicated to promptly informing the drivers about the current traffic conditions, obstacles on the road, ongoing road maintenance, and traffic restrictions. The LED boards are installed in the main streets where the traffic flows are the most intense.

Two types of driver information LED boards are installed in Vilnius City: A type, which have 4 lines with 15 characters per line, and B type LED boards, which have 3 lines and 18 characters per line. The brightness of the LED board characters is set automatically based on the time of day.
