Kiss & Ride
There are two types of short-stay parking spaces in Vilnius: Kiss & Ride, where you can stay for no longer than 15 minutes, and spaces designated for briefly stopping to drop off a child, but where it is prohibited to remain parked.
Marking of short-stop locations
All short-term parking spaces are marked with road signs indicating the type and duration of parking, supplemented by special bright green “Kiss and Ride” information boards and special pavement markings – white letters K+R, meaning “Kiss and Ride.”
How to use short-stop locations?
Point 149 of the Traffic Rules states: “When leaving a motor vehicle in an area where parking is restricted by a sign, the driver must leave information about the time of arrival of the motor vehicle behind the windshield of the motor vehicle so that it is visible to other people.”
Clocks, which are sold at JUDU Customer Service Centers, can be used to record time. The price of a clock is €1.

Vilnius residents and school communities are invited to submit suggestions for additional locations where short-stop “Parent Stops” should be installed. Suggestions are welcome by email at [email protected].
