Shipping on the Neris River

Travel around Vilnius by electric boat and discover the capital from a whole new perspective!
This is not only a new sustainable way to travel around Vilnius, but also an important link between the city’s microdistricts and main transfer points, integrated with bus and trolleybus routes.
During the warm season (May-October), boats run daily on the Neris traffic lane along the route Business Triangle – Žvėrynas Bridge – White Bridge – Green Bridge – Mindaugas Bridge – Šilo Bridge – Žirmūnai Beach.
Boats run every 30–35 minutes, and from the Business Triangle

One ticket – a great opportunity to travel not only along the Neris River, but also to conveniently start or continue your journey by public transport
Electric boats are integrated into the public transport system, so JUDU / Vilniečio cards are valid on them. Tickets can be purchased via the m.Ticket and Trafi apps, at the JUDU self-service terminal, or contactlessly on board.
A 90-minute ticket costs €3, or €4 when purchased on board. All standard discounts and concessions apply to this ticket.
Seniors over 80 years of age can enjoy a river trip for as little as €0.60, and a family ticket is a convenient way for the whole family to experience a trip on the Neris together: purchase one ticket for €7 (€9 when purchased on board).
Important: the ticket must be activated only after boarding the ship.
Move along the Neris River harmoniously and comfortably
The capital’s new electric boats are catamaran-type, modern, sustainable, and specially adapted for the city’s inland waters. With zero pollution and quiet engines, they blend harmoniously into Vilnius’ natural environment.
They are designed to meet everyone’s needs: convenient boarding for people with reduced mobility, space for bicycles, and 32 comfortable seats for passengers, 28 of which are inside and 4 on the deck.
Each boat has free WiFi, information about the trip is displayed on electronic boards, and video surveillance cameras help to ensure passenger safety. More than 80% of the deck is covered by a roof, which not only protects from rain or sun, but also has a solar power plant that supplies energy to the ship’s equipment.
The ship’s captain is responsible for passenger safety. He is the highest-ranking member of the crew, supervising order and ensuring everyone’s safety during the trip. However, it is important that passengers follow the rules: behave responsibly, do not engage in prohibited activities, and do not endanger themselves or others.

2026 shipping season: more ships and a longer route
Next year, Vilnius residents and visitors will have even more opportunities to travel by river. Four electric boats will operate during the 2026 sailing season: Rytas, Lašiša, Geležinis vilkas, and Smilga. The boats will sail along a new, extended route: Verslo trikampis – Žvėryno tiltas – Baltasis tiltas – Žaliasis tiltas – Mindaugo tiltas – Šilo tiltas – Žirmūnų paplūdimys. The boats will run every 30–35 minutes, and the total length of the route from Verslo trikampis to Žirmūnų paplūdimys will be 7.9 kilometers.
