Microbolity sharing systems
Getting around Vilnius is possible not only by own bicycle or electric scooter, but also by using sharing services. During the warmer months, bicycles and scooters can be rented flexibly and conveniently from several different companies operating in the capital, which contribute to the implementation of a sustainable transport vision in the city. What’s more, using the sharing services is really easy – you can do so using your mobile phone or by purchasing a special card.

The main principles of e-scooter and bike
sharing services in Vilnius
Vilniaus miesto el. paspirtukų ir dviračių dalijimosi paslaugų pagrindiniai teikimo principai
Vilnius is a city that moves smoothly, where electric scooters and bicycles have already found their place. In order to introduce more order in parking micro-mobility vehicles from sharing platforms and to increase traffic safety in areas heavily used by pedestrians, the main principles for providing electric scooter and bicycle sharing services in Vilnius are presented.
Based on these principles, the aim is for city residents who use sharing services to contribute to the creation of a culture of mobility and to ensure safe traffic for all participants through their behavior. The approval of these principles aims to ensure that smooth movement in the city is created not only by sharing service providers and their users and Vilnius City Municipality, but also by residents using personal micro-mobility devices.
Safe speed and restrictions
The safe speed limit is up to 20 km/h.
In the Old Town and specific areas (e.g., on bridges, viaducts, etc.), the speed limit is up to 12 km/h.
On Vilniaus, Pilies, and Savičiaus streets, signs prohibit the use of scooters and bicycles.
Riding rules
Micromobility vehicles may be used:
On a pedestrian path or in shared space with pedestrians if there is no other suitable infrastructure nearby and the speed limit on the street is higher than 30 km/h;
Only on a cycle path or in a designated lane, where available;
On the road or in shared traffic with cars where the speed limit is up to 30 km/h (e.g., on a bicycle street).
Cooperation and education
The city and business partners work together to ensure the highest possible level of safety for residents and visitors, improve infrastructure quality, and raise awareness about the proper and safe use and parking of vehicles, compliance with traffic rules, and more.
They also commit to providing up-to-date information and data on service usage and future plans.
Parking of electric scooters and bicycles
Park your vehicles in parking areas specifically designated for electric scooters and bicycles, marked with horizontal markings.
If there are no marked areas, e-mobility devices must be left in such a way that they do not obstruct other road users, for example: along the street, on the sidewalk, next to bicycle racks, along the walls of buildings, trees or poles, etc.
Reminder: parking of electric scooters and bicycles is restricted in the old town, parks, squares, on bridges, viaducts, and other places where pedestrian traffic intersects.
Let’s enjoy the streets of Vilnius together
In the center of the capital, electric micro-mobility devices can only be left in special parking lots. This parking arrangement on city streets helps everyone fit in.
In the Old Town, on bridges and other specific areas, with heavy pedestrian traffic, e-scooter and bicycle riders must travel at a speed not exceeding 12 km/h, and signs prohibiting e-scooter and bicycle traffic are in effect on Vilniaus, Pilies, and Savičiaus streets.
